The Guide to the Preparation of Theses and Dissertations is available online. The manual contains detailed instructions, and provides full size sample pages. We recommend that you read the entire text, and print out at least the relevant sample pages prior to preparing your document, since headings, subheadings, and spacing can appear differently when viewed on the computer screen than in printed format. The document was updated for the fall 2023 semester.
In fall 2022, Kristie Bixby, the Editorial Assistant in the Office of Academic Affairs, walked us through using the manual, gave tips for formatting, and talked about common formatting issues that she sees in theses and dissertations.
The Handbook includes information about about the types of assistantships (GTA, GRA and GSA), eligibility requirements, benefits, duties, and performance expectations and evaluations.
The current Graduate Catalog is available online. Graduate and Undergraduate Catalogs from previous years can also be found online, with older versions available through Ablah Library.
