WSU Policies and Procedures: What's New

This policy is being revised to comply with KBOR's updated policy on naming University facilities, which requires KBOR approval in many circumstances and has specified further requirements for naming facilities. Additional procedures have also been added for review of dedication signage and for other compliance matters, including trademark and copyright restrictions, and whether KBOR approval is required. The additional procedures are consistent with current practice. And finally, the policy is being updated with the current standard form for University policies.

This policy has been created to provide the general requirements, including insurance and waivers, for the use of inflatables (e.g., "Bouncy Houses") on campus, which have become increasingly popular at University events.

Rescind policy.

This policy and its companion handbook, the Student Code of Conduct Handbook, are being revised to update the initiating authority, formatting, punctuation/capitalization, definitions, related laws and policies, and general clarification of policy provisions.

• Changed title from 3.17 / Political Activity to 3.17 / Political and Lobbying Activities by Employees
• Formatting into current policy format and providing additional information in relation to Kansas and Federal Statutes to provide information beyond being Elected or Appointed to an office.
• Additional Kansas Statutes and a federal statute were added.

Policy is being revised for maintenance (corrected outdated information and standardized policy formatting), and clarified language regarding initiating authority, filming of political advertisements and open attendance at events.

This policy is being revised to add the remainder of the sentence to IV.B
