A Message from our VP of Recruitment
Hi beautifuls!
As recruitment happens, I just want to remind you to take a deep breath, enjoy the moment, and truly soak in this experience. This is such a special time in your life. Take the opportunity to meet the chapters, but also take time to connect with the other people going through recruitment with you. Some of the friendships you make during this process can last far beyond recruitment itself.
Please continue to talk with our team and stay in contact with your Recruitment Counselor throughout the process, even once you begin going into your houses. We are here for you every step of the way and want to support you however we can!
Watching each of you go through this experience means so much to me because I once stood exactly where you are. We adore you all and love getting to watch you grow and discover where you belong.

| Mutual Selection | Our recruitment process is a mutual selection process. This means that as you are narrowing down which sororities you feel could be your home, the sororities are also narrowing down who they could see living out their values best. It is all about trusting the process! |
| Nationals/Headquarters | The central office responsible for maintaining the organization's standards, policies, and traditions across all campuses. While a local chapter operates only on one campus, the National Organization connects that chapter to a broader network of chapters across the country, allowing for a national identity and standardized support. |
| National Panhellenic Council (NPC) | Founded in 1902, NPC provides support and guidance for its 26 sororities across the nation and serves as the national voice of contemporary issues of sorority life. |
| New Member | The period when someone joins a sorority but is not initiated into the chapter yet |
| Philanthropy | A national or local charity that a sorority sponsors, donating time or money through service |

| Service | Refers to the active, hands-on volunteering of time, labor, and support for charitable causes, local community needs, or the campus, rather than simply donating funds. It is one of the foundational pillars of our community, emphasizing a commitment to civic engagement and addressing community issues. |
| Single Intentional Preference | When a PNM attends more than one chapter for preference night but limits their selection by not listing all their options on the MRABA |
| Sisterhood | The common term for the bond between members of the same sorority. Fostering lifelong bonds, personal growth, and a sense of belonging or "home away from home". |
| Values | The foundational principles, creeds, and core standards that guide member behavior, decision-making, and organizational purpose. These organizations are "values-based," meaning they aim to foster personal development and community impact rather than solely acting as social clubs. |

What does MRABA mean?
ABOUT THE MRABA
This document is the Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreemeent (MRABA), formally known as the “Bid Card.” The MRABA is a binding agreement that is effective for 1 calender year. By signing this document, you as a Potential New Member agree that you are willing to accept a bid for membership from any sorority that you rank on the MRABA.
Please note that if you receive an invitation to membership (a bid) from any sorority that you ranked on your MRABA, then you are bound to that group for 1 calender year (August 2026 - August 2027). If you receive a bid from any sorority that you have listed on your MRABA, and you choose not to accept it or later withdraw from the new member process, you are not eligible to participate in Continuous Open Bidding (COB) in the Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 semesters.
When do I sign the MRABA?
If you receive an invitation to Preference round, you will make your final selection at the conclusion of your last party. Here, you will rank the chapter(s) you visitied on August 16, 2026 in preferential order. Once you complete your rankings, you will sign an electronic copy of the MRABA. Please note that once the MRABA has been completed and submitted it cannot be altered or changed.
Before signing the MRABA, you have several options to consider. We suggest that you thoroughly reflect on these before signing your MRABA.
MRABA Options
- You may choose NOT to complete the MRABA, thereby withdrawing from recruitment. If you choose this option, you are eligible to accept a bid for membership from any sororities participating in Conintuous Open Bidding. A small number of sororities may be able to recruit a limited number of women throug the COB process after Primary Recruiotment if their chapter is below the Campus Total. However, this is not guaranteed.
- You may choose to list any sorority whose Preference Event you attended and you are willing to accept an invitation to membership (a bid). Please note that you should NOT rank a sorority on your MRABA that you are absolutely not willing to accepy a bid for membership from. If you match with a sorority that you listed on your MRABA, it is importany to note that you are bound to that sorority for one calender year (August 2026 - August 2027), regardless of whether you officially accept their invitation for membership or not.
- Your may choose to limit your choices to just one sorority whose Preference Event you attended and you are willing to accept an invitation to membership. You must understand that if you choose to single Intentional Single Preference than you are not guarenteed to receive a bid for membership. Only Potential New Members who maximize their options and list ALL of the chapters that they attended during the Preference round, are guarenteed to receive a bid for membership during Primary Recruitment.
If you do not receive an invitation to membership (a bid) from any of the sororities that you have listed, you are eligibel for Continuous Open Bidding.
