Emcee Hippodrome

Emcees will be responsible for introducing skits as well as stalling in between acts on Friday, April 10. This will include following cues as to when to begin each performance in order to keep to the schedule. Emcees must stay on task while keeping the audience engaged throughout the evening of performances. 

Students wishing to become an emcee for Hippodrome must submit an application. Once the application is complete they will receive a notification to sign-up for an interview time.

• must provide a 75-100 word bio
• upload a headshot, 1200x1200 px or larger

Auditions take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

During this time you will be asked to:

• Entertain the committee for up to five minutes
• Read through a short introduction
• Follow cue cards to demonstrate adaptability consistent with show requirements

Emcee will perform during the Friday (April 10) night show. The show will start at 6 p.m. at the Eugene Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Emcees will be asked to arrive prior to the show to do a runthrough of introductions and perform a sound check.
