Here are some of the benefits our RLC position can offer:
Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs) are responsible for the overall administration and supervision of a residence hall, and directly supervise Graduate Residence Life Coordinators and a team of Resident Assistants. WSU employs 3 full-time RLCs who, along with 4 Graduate Residence Life Coordinator (GRLC), participate in a duty rotation for emergencies and crisis response. The RLC team works closely together to ensure a cohesive experience for residents and student staff across our buildings, but also each have unique responsibilities depending on their building assignment. Through the lens of an ever-evolving residential curriculum, RLCs work with their staff teams to create community development efforts that work best for their individual building structures and populations, with the goal of connecting every student guiding those efforts. We are moving in a direction where a majority of these connections happen in more individual engagements efforts to reflect the needs of the current student population. Building leadership and special projects are evaluated every year and assigned to best meet the professional development plans and skill development for each RLC.
