Living on campus during college offers several key benefits. First, it fosters a stronger sense of community among students, allowing easy connections with classmates and lasting friendships. Second, the supportive environment includes resident advisors (RAs) who assist with the transition and create a welcoming space. Additionally, on-campus living provides safety and security with our 24/7 desk, on-call staff, and security systems—Wichita State prioritizes your well-being. Moreover, it saves time by minimizing commuting stress, leaving more room for studying, socializing, athletic events and extracurricular activities. Lastly, convenient meal plans ensure you’re well-fed while focusing on your studies. By joining our on-campus community of Shockers, you have everything you need to get the most out of your Shocker experience.
Wichita State has three unique housing options available to current and future students: Shocker Hall, The Suites and The Flats.
Shocker Hall is a freshmen residence hall located in the heart of Shocker Nation. Shocker consists of 4 buildings offering a variety of single, double, and triple bedroom options.

The Suites opened in Fall 2019 and features suite-style facilities with private bedrooms for new students to live in.

The Flats is our upperclassman apartment complex for students who have lived on campus with us before.
