Want to be a lifeguard? You can do your certification here at the Heskett Center.
Participants must attend all class days in the registered session.
Participants must be 15 years old and must provide proof (driver’s license, school ID, birth certificate) and must pass a pre-requisite swim and skill session to attend class.
Certification is valid for 2 years from date of completion. Includes Lifeguarding, BLS and First Aid. Class does NOT include Oxygen certification
(for YMCA employees).
Pre-requisites:
300m continuous swim (goggles permitted) combination of front crawl or breaststroke.
Legs only 2 minute tread
Timed event removing 10 lb. brick from 13 feet deep
