2026 Event Recaps

  • January Event: PowerPoint Party at Child Start

ICTNext kicked off the year with a PowerPoint Party hosted at Child Start. Members each brought a short presentation about what they do in their public service roles, creating an engaging and creative way to learn about one another’s work. The evening sparked new connections, deeper understanding across sectors, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Thank you for hosting us, Child Start

  • February Event: Mentorship Conversation with The Thread

In February, ICTNext gathered at the Public Policy & Management Center for a candid mentorship conversation led by the team from The Thread: A Women’s Leadership Collective. The discussion explored how mentorship shapes professional growth — both through guidance received and leadership given. Members left with practical insight on how to seek meaningful mentorship and how to begin serving as mentors themselves.

Thank you providing such a meaningful conversation, The Thread: A Women's Leadership Collective

  • March/April Event: Networking & Games at the Arcade

ICTNext headed to the Arcade for an evening of networking and connection in a relaxed, high-energy setting.  Attendees were able to come and chat, learn more about ICTNext and play video games in The Arcade. The evening was a great laid back opportunity to strengthen relationships, welcome new faces, and continue building momentum for Wichita’s next generation of civic leaders.

Thank you for hosting us, The Arcade!

  • May Event: Volunteering with ICT S.O.S.

In May, ICTNext partnered with ICTSOS to support their work in prevention, education, and advocacy for individuals impacted by human trafficking and exploitation. Attendees got a tour of the ICT S.O.S. office and helped move shelving and organize supplies to help provide smoother access for items for staff and clients.

Thank you for partnering with us, ICT S.O.S.

  • June Event: Combating Negative Self-Talk: Projecting Your Professional Self With Confidence

In June, ICTNext hosted Percy Turner with the WSU Community Engagement Institute who lead an engaging and thought-provoking session on "Combating Negative Self-Talk: Projecting Your Professional Self with Confidence". His practical insights challenged us to think differently about confidence, credibility, and how we show up as leaders every day.

Thank your for leading a thought-provoking session, Percy! (WSU Community Engagement Institute)
  • August/September: Volunteering at Simply Hygiene with United Way of the Plains Serve United

ICTNext partnered with United Way of the Plains’ Serve United and Simply Hygiene for a hands-on community service opportunity focused on supporting local families.

Volunteers worked together to package 450 diaper bundles, each containing 25 diapers, for a total of 11,250 diapers that will be distributed throughout the community. The service activity provided an opportunity for ICTNext members to connect, give back and make a tangible impact on families in need.

We’re grateful to Simply Hygiene for the opportunity to serve alongside them and to all of the ICTNext volunteers who contributed their time and energy to this effort.
