About Digital Signage

WSUTV’s digital signage system is viewable on more than a hundred screens across campus. Our centralized messaging system helps you and your organization communicate visually with Wichita State University and the community. The digital signage system is also part of the ShockerAlert System. In the event of an emergency, the screens will automatically display emergency information. If you or your organization has a message to share with Wichita State, use our online form to submit your artwork and get your message displayed on campus.

Make sure the content you’re submitting is free of copyright infringement, offensive content and profanity. All slides will be reviewed and approved before they’re added to our queue. See below for more information.

FAQ

Do you charge for DS announcements?


Posting an announcement is free if you are part of an official university organization and are not charging for your event. Outside organizations or university affiliates can post or advertise for a nominal fee. Contact Matthew Rasico for more details.

What size should my artwork be?

 

  • 1280 pixels wide by 720 pixels high (16:9 widescreen)
  • 72 dpi resolution
  • JPEG file format (.jpg)
  • File size: less than 1 megabyte

Any design recommendations?

 

  • Avoid designs with lots of red as this color is used for emergency alerts.
  • Do not use large blocks of text. Keep your information simple. Think billboard ads, short and sweet. Announcements are displayed in 10 second intervals.

Use title safe design. Keep vital information away from edges.

 

How long will my announcement run?


Announcements will be run for no longer than 30 days unless otherwise requested.
Please allow 2-3 business days for your request to be processed before it will appear on screens. 

How can I change something I previously submitted?


Re-submit your corrected artwork using the online form and tell us it’s a replacement in the notes area.
