United Way Donations

Whether responding to a global pandemic or a personal crisis, United Way is at work every day.  That's why Wichita State University supports United Way.  We also understand how much Shockers benefit from United Way.  Last year, United Way funded programs helped our employees 404 times.

We're not just looking for a quick fix.  We're out to create positive and permanent change.  Change that lasts for generations to come.  But we don't do it alone.  We need you.  With United Way of the Plains, you are an unstoppable force for good.

The United Way Volunteer Center can match your interests with the needs of more than 300 nonprofit organizations in Wichita and south central Kansas-including agencies not receiving United Way funding.

Shockers can give to one or more of the following:

• United Way Community Fund to support 67 programs and initiatives
• Focus Areas of education, income and health
• A specific local nonprofit human service agency. See details: www.unitedwayplains.org/designations.

It’s easy for an employee to have a direct impact on the community by donating a portion of their paycheck each pay period. Complete the United Way Pledge Form and submit conveniently online. Questions on payroll deductions can be send to Payroll@wichita.edu.
