Concurrent enrollment allows you to take college-level courses in your high school, taught by your high school teachers who are approved by Wichita State faculty to teach those courses. This is the easiest way to earn college credit and allows you to do it alongside your classmates in high school.
The cost for concurrent enrollment courses with WSU is $149 per course + a one-time, non-refundable $25 application fee. Once you pay this fee, you won't be asked to pay it again.
Dual enrollment course textbooks are an additional charge.
This tuition rate is assessed per course, regardless of the number of credit hours. The same course on campus would cost $750 to $1,250, depending on the number of total credit hours.
The list of schools that WSU partners with to offer concurrent enrollment courses to high school students is:
*It's possible that your high school has additional requirements exceeding the WSU eligibility requirements.
Applications* are specific to each partnered high school and are distributed through the WSU-approved courses / teachers. If you have questions whether a course is a WSU course or not, please contact us at concurrent@wichita.edu.
*Your concurrent enrollment application is not the same as a freshman application. If you want to apply to Wichita State after your high school graduation, please visit wichita.edu/apply.
