IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  1. Read our Pre-departure Information before you travel. 
  2. Airport pick-up is only available from Wichita D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT).
  3. Spring 2027 free airport pick-up is available from Jan. 6 to Jan 13, 2027.  If you will arrive before the listed dates, taxi, Uber, or Lyft are available at your expense.

  4. Our recommended arrival dates for Spring 2027 are Jan 10 (Sun)
    –Jan 12 (Tue). The on-campus housing move-in date is Jan 15 (Saturday).

    Please make sure to enter the United States before the program start date listed on your I-20.

  5. Submit your pickup request at least 48 hours before arrival.  IMPORTANT:  Depending on the date and time of your arrival, our free airport arrival service may not be able to assist you if there are no seats available.  For this reason, it is in your best interest to notify us AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE before your arrival to better ensure we will have space to accommodate you.
  6. Family members or friends traveling with you are not eligible for the airport pickup service due to limited resources. They will need to arrange their own transportation at their own expense.
  7. If you will not be living on campus, you are required to provide a drop-off address when submitting your airport pickup request.
  8. Read the additional important information arrival information below that applies to you.

LIVING ON-CAMPUS

  • The estimate earliest date available for move-in is Saturday Jan 15.  If you plan to arrive in Wichita earlier, you will need to arrange temporary accommodation at your own expense until this date.
  • Please email Housing and Residence Life at housing@wichita.edu to notify them of your arrival date so they can prepare your room for your arrival.
  • Please view our Packing List for guidance on what to bring with you.

LIVING OFF CAMPUS

  • First-year students at Wichita State are required to live on-campus for their first year of study. Learn if you are subject to this requirement by viewing our Housing FAQ's and selecting "Do I have to live on-campus?".
  • View our Off-Campus Housing Marketplace for information on apartments throughout the city of Wichita.
  • We cannot provide assistance in making off-campus housing arrangements. Please contact the apartment complex or property manager where you would like to live to get more information about reserving a room.
