Since starting his presidency in 2020, Dr. Rick Muma and his colleagues have led Wichita State University in expanding the breadth and depth of its influence through several initiatives and achievements, all guided by three priorities set for the university.
To support talent for local businesses and industry:
Muma serves on Wichita Medical Research & Education Foundation’s Board and the University of Texas System Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee.
Muma lives in Wichita with his spouse, Rick Case. Case is the retired district director for the Farm Service Agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. They have two adult sons Drew and Collin and a daughter-in-law, Abi.
Muma and Case are members of the WSU Foundation’s Society of 1895. They established the Richard D. Muma and Rick A. Case Equality Scholarship in 2011.
