Our students gain hands-on, interactive experience using state-of-the-art simulation mannequins in a realistic and supportive environment.
These high-fidelity mannequins replicate a wide range of symptoms and scenarios, including childbirth, seizures, blood pressure fluctuations and bleeding — giving students the chance to practice critical skills before stepping into clinical settings.
Virtual Reality (VR) experiences immerse students in realistic healthcare environments and complex patient scenarios, strengthening clinical decision-making, communication, patient assessment skills and confidence.
Research shows that combining simulation with classroom learning and clinical practice helps better prepare future nurses and enhances patient safety.
The Wichita State and Kansas State Pathway to Nursing Program is a unique dual degree program that gives students the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the College of Health and Human Sciences at Kansas State and a Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from the College of Health Professions at Wichita State University.
