The Bachelor of Science (BS) in health management prepares students to lead and improve health care services in settings such as hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities and public health organizations. With a strong foundation in health care systems, operations and administration, the program is offered fully online or in a flexible hybrid format to accommodate both working professionals and traditional students.
Graduates go on to careers in health care operations, administration, community health and aging services, taking on roles like patient access supervisor, clinic manager, health care recruiter and nursing home administrator. Many also continue their education in graduate programs such as health administration, public health, aging studies or business.

Public health science students collaborated with campus organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Senior capstone students worked with Student Health Services during the fall semester on mitigation strategies. In the spring, students created a WSU Partner Point of Delivery (POD) plan for distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to students and faculty, and developed peer-to-peer multilingual vaccine information videos.
Students celebrate National Public Health Week annually by volunteering in the community and displaying health educational materials around campus.
