Responsibilities include providing direct or assisting instruction, assisting faculty members in their scholarly and/or creative activities, or assisting in non-teaching and non-research activities. Policies governing assistantship positions are defined in the WSU Policies and Procedures manual - 8.04 Graduate Assistantships. IMPORTANT NOTE: Students applying for CSD departmental funds and graduate assistantship (GA) positions must be currently enrolled in the professional phase of their program. Prospective students are also eligible to apply for funds. GA positions in our department are based on a number of factors, including funding availability and whether the student is an in-state or out-of-state student.
Most University, College, and Departmental Scholarships will use the ScholarshipUniverse master application for the current academic year. Applications open November 1st, with deadlines posted within the system.
NOTE: FAFSA application is optional for applying to scholarships, but must be completed in order for you to be eligible for need-based awards. Up to 83% of CHP awards are need-based; students will not be eligible for these scholarships without a FAFSA.
