Future Music Major Days

Discover your path in a community where music creates possibilities.

Future Music Major Days invite aspiring musicians to explore how Wichita State supports many musical identities—from performers and educators to creators, producers, leaders, and students who want to pair music with other academic interests.

During this event, you’ll experience what it feels like to belong to a vibrant School of Music grounded in collaboration, curiosity, and choice. You’ll tour our campus, meet faculty and current students, sit in on rehearsals and mini‑classes, and learn how our degrees—including Music Education, Performance, Commercial Music, Music Industry Studies, and the flexible Bachelor of Arts in Music (BAM)—open doors to a wide range of meaningful careers and academic pathways.

Whether you imagine yourself on stage, in the studio, in a classroom, working in the music industry, or combining music with another field entirely, Future Music Major Days are designed to honor your goals and help you explore the pathway that fits you best.

Join us for a day of discovery—and take the next step toward a musical future that feels true to you.
