A Career in Social Work

Wherever there are people with problems, individually or in groups, there are opportunities for employment as a social worker. Your work can be both physically and emotionally demanding, because of its problem-solving focus, but it can also be rewarding.

You must be open, honest and aware of your own motivations and background. You must be able to accept people of different backgrounds and values, and be able to tolerate frustration and emotional stress.
