Students can now submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-26 school year.
The application opens many financial opportunities to both prospective and currently enrolled students at Wichita State University in the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters. Students should submit applications as soon as possible, and Wichita State’s priority date is April 1, 2025 for aid programs with limited funding.
“Submitting your FAFSA is the first step to getting thousands of dollars in need-based scholarships, grants and work-study opportunities to make college more affordable,” said Sheelu Surender, executive director of Financial Aid and Scholarship. “Applying early helps students guarantee they unlock as many dollars as they can.”
Students can get started with their FAFSA forms by creating their Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID at studentaid.gov.
Wichita State’s Office of Financial Aid is open to meeting with students who are already admitted or prospective students to discuss the FAFSA and other financial aid or tuition questions. Appointments can be made online or call the office at 316-978-3430.
Learn more about the FAFSA process by visiting wichita.edu/FAFSA, whether you have yet to start or are currently filling out or have already submitted your application. The upcoming holiday breaks are a great time to get the FAFSA done early.
