Belonging starts here. Our programs and spaces are designed to help every Shocker feel connected, supported, and valued. Through meaningful experiences, cultural celebrations, and opportunities to get involved, we create a campus where everyone can show up as their authentic selves and find their community.

Heritage Programming

Explore upcoming heritage and identity-based celebrations open to all who wish to learn, honor, and engage with different cultures and communities. Through these events, Student Engagement & Belonging provides opportunities for students to connect, build meaningful relationships, and foster a campus environment where every voice and experience is valued.

  • Passage 2 Success

    Passage 2 Success (P2S) is a week-long retreat for incoming freshmen to help in their transition to Wichita State University! The purpose of this retreat is to connect with other incoming students, meet current student leaders, explore Wichita and gain the skills and tools to be socially and academically successful.

  • Promoting Academic Student Success

    Promoting Academic Student Success (PASS) is a program that facilitates the retention, academic success, holistic development and timely graduation of all underrepresented students at WSU, through academic support services, educational and cultural programming, interpersonal relationships and mentoring.

  • Agencies

    Agencies are student organizations within the Student Government Association that represent and advocate for various student communities. All students are welcome to join.

  • Cultural-Based Fraternal Organizations

    Cultural-Based Fraternal Organizations (CBFOs) at Wichita State celebrate culture, heritage and identity through community, leadership and service, empowering students to uplift their communities and enhance the Shocker experience.

  • Student Belonging Coalition

    Student Belonging Coalition is a student led organization that promotes and creates opportunities for representation, cultural exploration, and student development.
