Shocker Central

This online career database for students and employees is now live and allows you to search and apply for on-campus employment, co-op/internship positions, and full-time employment!
Micro-Internships

Micro-Internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments that are similar to those given to new hires or interns. Unlike traditional internships, Micro-Internships can take place year-round, typically range from 5 to 40 hours of work, and are due between one week and one month after kick-off. Companies range from those in the Fortune 100 to emerging start-ups and assignments feature departments, including sales, marketing, technology, HR, and finance.
Forage

The Forage is a virtual work experience program that connects students to top companies through mini work experiences. In only 5-6 hours, you learn relevant tools and develop transferable skills by completing real industry tasks. This is free and self-paced. No experience or application is required. At the end of each program, you receive a certificate that can be put on your resume and your LinkedIn profile.

Applied Learning Certificate

Wichita State University is launching a new digital credential through LifeJourney for students engaged in applied learning experiences supported by the State of Kansas Applied Learning Funds. This digital credential allows students to demonstrate their abilities and showcase their career readiness beyond the traditional transcript. It recognizes and verifies the skills students develop through applied learning.

The Shocker Career Accelerator offers free professional photos via a brand new photo booth! It's never been easier to update your LinkedIn profile or Shocker Central account.

The photo booth is located outside the Shocker Career Accelerator office in the Marcus Welcome Center. The booth is available Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. when the university is open.
