Three Ways To Immerse Yourself in Wichita State’s Campus Beyond Visiting In-Person
Jan. 31, 2025
Clinton Dick
Clinton is a Marketing Coordinator at Wichita State's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. He loves walking his dog on campus, and jogging on the Redbud Trail just south of Wichita State near 17th Street. He is a native Kansan and loves the Sunflower State (in spite of the weather).
Shockers come from all over the world. From virtually every corner of the Sunflower State, to overseas across the globe – students find their place on Wichita State’s thriving campus.
However, it is not always as simple as walking out the door and making a short trip for some to visit campus. Wichita State hosts thousands of visitors each year for in-depth tours but for those unable to make it the university has free alternative resources that don’t skimp on immersion.
The College Tour
Produced and hosted by the charismatic Alex Boylan, The College Tour is a TV series streaming on multiple platforms including Amazon Prime. Boasting millions of viewers, the series focuses on telling the stories of colleges and universities across the globe through the lens of the students who attend.
Wichita State became the first institution in Kansas to host The College Tour and is proud to present the story of its students both as a full hour-long episode, and mini segments with spotlights on Shockers specializing in different areas. Plus, each of the segments were written by the students themselves!

With more than 20 stops across campus and the city of Wichita, the university’s upgraded virtual tour allows visitors to get an excellent look into what makes Shocker Nation great. The virtual tour is narrated and interactive with a variety of high-quality 360-degree views of several of Wichita State’s most popular spaces and facilities.
Be on the lookout for WuShock at each stop!
