Clinton is a Marketing Coordinator at Wichita State's Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
He loves walking his dog on campus, and jogging on the Redbud Trail just south of
Wichita State near 17th Street. He is a native Kansan and loves the Sunflower State
(in spite of the weather).
The friendly staff in the Office of Admissions are always excited to see new faces
on campus. Visits to Wichita State University are personalized for the students’ specific
academic and extracurricular interests and consist of the following:
A presentation giving a broad overview of Wichita State
A campus housing tour with a Shocker Navigator
A one-on-one appointment with an admissions representative
A meeting with academic advisors and/or faculty (optional)
A meeting with other campus departments of interest (optional)

Visits are offered throughout the year Monday – Friday when campus is open and can
be scheduled at wichita.edu/visit. If you plan on meeting with a specific campus department, please give our office
a two-week notice. Here are some more tips to prepare you for your visit:
1. What To Wear
Wear clothing appropriate for the weather that day. Bring an umbrella if necessary
, a jacket, and comfortable shoes. Also, it is advised to plan on eating before or
after your visit. Breakfast/lunch is not provided.
2. How To Find Us
Locate our office at wichita.edu/locate. Choose “Marcus Welcome Center.” The MWC is located just east of Eck Baseball Stadium
at 21st Street and Mike Oatman Drive. Look for the clock tower!
3. Where To Park
Limited free visitor parking is available in the parking lot in front of the Marcus
Welcome Center, home of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. You do not need a
parking permit. Please park in the spots with the red signs if possible.
4. Get a Sneak Peak
Check out previous snapshots of campus visits via Twitter and Instagram using the
hashtag #shockervisit. Feel free to add your own during the tour!
5. Check-In
On the day-of, come into the MWC lobby and check in with the admissions staff to begin
the visit. We advise arriving 10 minutes early to check in for your visit.
6. Campus Visit
Your campus tour will be completely tailored to your ideal college experience. Upon
request, you will be able to visit various colleges, departments, and organizations.
At the conclusion of your visit, you will be able to meet with an admissions staff
member for your Shocker Send Off and get any of your remaining questions answered.
After filling out a short evaluation, you will also leave with a Wichita State t-shirt!
