It is the holiday season, which means an abundance of gift shopping. Need ideas for a Wichita State student? With several current and former students on the team, the Admissions Office has you covered.

The Shocker Store is the official merchandise store of Wichita State University, with two main locations on-campus: on the first floor of the Rhatigan Student Center and in Braeburn Square. An additional Shocker Store recently opened in Charles Koch Arena and is open during men's basketball home games. Of course, the Wichita area has plenty of store options for those looking for Shocker gear, as well as online shopping alternatives.

• Something warm and cozy – Comfy sweaters, toasty blankets, wool hats and socks are all popular winter items for a reason. Having our beloved WuShock stitched in the fabric is an extra plus!

• Shocker Pride decoratives – Wichita State has a unique mascot in Wu, and local merch never ceases to provide creative designs for students to show school spirit. A personal favorite is the black and yellow Wichita flag design for a splash of civic pride.

• Study swag – Before long, back-to-school shopping will be all the rage. Why not gift Wichita State-themed essentials for the holidays? Planners, pens, highlighters, notepads…virtually anything you can think of is available for the prudent student.
• Gift cards, gift cards, gift cards – What gift cards lack in pizzazz they make up for in versatility. The Shocker Store offers both physical and electronic gift cards, which make great presents for those who want the recipient to make the final decision.

Hopefully, this guide provides a few gift ideas for the holidays or really any occasion. Happy shopping!
