Located in the heart of the main campus, the RSC’s dynamic slate of events and services
keep the WSU community humming. Whether you're looking for a place to study, a place
to hang out with friends, a place to eat, a place to shop, a place to relax, or even
a place to get a quick haircut, the RSC is the place to be. Recommended study locations
within the RSC: the Starbucks on the 1st floor or the 3rd floor lobbies.
Up for a late night study session? Require complete silence while studying? If you
answered yes to either question then the Ablah Library is probably where you want
to be. The 24-hour study room is located at the main entrance of Ablah Library. This
updated space includes a restroom, vending, seating, and computer lab. Moreover, the
entire third floor of the library has been designated a quiet zone to support individual
study and research.
Here’s another great option for caffeine lovers wanting the coffee house ambience.
In addition to caffeine and study space, we have it on good authority that you should
also grab a cookie while you’re here.
If your study entails a lot of reading, then look no further than the Hammock Lounge.
You can check out a hammock for free with your Shocker Card at the Heskett Center's
Guest Service Desk. Then, set it up, get comfy, and start reading! Perhaps you can even squeeze in a power
nap (once your reading is done of course).
Need a quick bite or a full meal while you cram for your test? Make the most of your
meal plan and your study session at the same time! Shocker Hall Dining has plenty
of seating and plenty of food options to choose from.
JBC opened in January 2017 as the first phase in the development of WSU's Innovation
Campus. Ideal for engineer students, the building houses all the tools necessary for
innovators to develop ideas into new products and bring them to market, including
a 3D print center, business incubator and accelerator spaces, and a technology transfer
office to offer advice on patents and marketing.
The McKinley Chemistry Library, a branch of the Wichita State University Libraries,
is located on the first floor of McKinley Hall. Whether or not chemistry is your thing,
you may find this library especially cozy.
Want to study outdoors next to a small pond with fountains? The food truck plaza is
for you! Plus, if you time it right, you’ll also have some of the favorite local food
trucks to pick and choose from.
Opened in 2022, Woolsey Hall is the new home of the W. Frank Barton School of Business.
The three-level building is designed to encourage mixing of students and faculty through
use of community spaces and easy access to technology. A social stair gives students
a place to gather and study. Woolsey Hall has become a campus favorite for all students!
