  • "DINNERTIME: A Play in Seven Courses"

    — Location: Welsbacher Black Box Theatre Date: September 17-19th, 2026 @ 7:30 PM Guest Director: Jane Gabbert Description: The School of Performing Arts presents a staged reading of a new play selected from undergraduate and graduate student submissions across the United States through the 2026 Bela Kiralyfalvi National Student Playwriting Competition. DINNERTIME: A Play in Seven Courses, is about a woman who invites a man over to her house, ostensibly for a simple dinner date. The night takes a turn for the strange when she reveals her carnivorous intent and veers into pure absurdity when he decides to stay. Over seven courses, all with their own unique culinary constituents, the two deliberate over several philosophies: the tenets of truth and beauty, what should and should not be edible, and the undeniable pull of carnal desire. The play culminates in the ultimate act of sin and sacrifice. Rated: R Tickets: $17 general admission Get Your Tickets Now

  • "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)"

    — Location: Welsbacher Black Box Theatre Date: October 15-17th, 2026 @ 7:30 PM Faculty Mentor: Sheldon Mba Presented by: Empty Space Theatre Description: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) adapted into a four-person cast, is a wonderfully chaotic adventure. The show is packed with hilarious moments, ridiculous energy, audience interaction, and, somehow, even a few Twilight references along the way. It’s fast, fun, and completely unhinged in the best way. Our cast will be attempting to tackle Shakespeare’s entire body of work while doing, whatever it takes to keep the audience laughing and involved, in just over 70 minutes. It’s Shakespeare like you’ve (probably) never seen him before! Rated: TBD Tickets: $15 Get your Tickets Today

  • "Cabaret"

    — Location: Wilner Auditorium Date: November 12-14th, 2026 @ 7:30 PM; a 2:00 PM matinee on November 15th Director: Jacob McGlaun Description: Set in 1930s Berlin as the shadow of the Nazi regime begins to fall, Cabaret invites audiences inside the Kit Kat Klub—a place where anything goes and the outside world can be forgotten, if only for a moment. Through the eyes of American writer Cliff Bradshaw and the enigmatic performer Sally Bowles, the story unfolds with dazzling musical numbers, dark humor, and a growing sense of unease. As political tensions rise beyond the club’s walls, Cabaret explores the fragility of freedom and the cost of looking the other way. Rated: R Tickets: $14, $20, $23 Get Your Tickets Today
