What is professional counseling?

Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. Professional counselors and Counselors-in-training help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.

Our Location

The WISE Clinic is located 209 Ahlberg Hall on the Wichita State University campus.

As you enter campus from 17th Street N. at Harvard Street, Ahlberg Hall is the building directly in front of you. Turn right on Wushock Drive and follow the road to Parking Lot 6, just east of the building. You may park in the marked Clinic Parking stalls. The entrance is on the northeast corner of the building right by the community garden, the first automatic door on the left. We are across from the dental hygiene clinic.
