What made you want to attend Wichita State?
I came here after the tennis program at Wichita State offered me a scholarship. I
enjoyed my visit, loved the coaches and the program. I got a warm welcoming from my
teammates, donors, staff, and the community in Wichita.
How are you feeling leading up to graduation?
Very excited for my next chapter in life. I am going to coach tennis, so I hope I
can help young generations fulfill their dreams.
What has been your biggest challenge as a student, and how did you overcome it?
As a full-time student-athlete, it wasn’t easy to manage the time and be good at both
things at the same time. I succeeded and overcame it by staying disciplined and responsible
and looking at one step at the time.
What has been your most helpful learning experience at Wichita State?
I think I have learned to deal feeling uncomfortable in different situations. Life
is not easy, and we have to learn how to deal with obstacles, learn from mistakes,
and move forward. Also, I have matured a lot and learned a lot about myself.
What are your plans after graduation?
Coach tennis.
What advice would you give other Wichita State students?
Life moves fast. If you don't stop and look around, you could miss it.
