The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at Wichita State University
engages students in practical hands-on experiences through our campus clinic and partner
facilities.
Clinical graduate programs prepare students for careers as speech-language pathologists
and audiologists who provide evaluation and treatment of speech, language and hearing
disorders in hospital, school and private practice settings and serve clients of every
age.
The School of Art, Design and Creative Industries (ADCI) is an academic hub for contemporary
art, innovative design, fresh thinking and creative risk-taking at Wichita State University.
ADCI offers four undergraduate majors: art education, art history, graphic design
and studio art. Within studio art, we offer concentrations in applied drawing, ceramics
media, community and social practice, electronic media, painting media, photo media,
print media and sculpture media. An interdisciplinary Master of Fine Arts degree is
also offered in studio art.
The Tallgrass Film Festival has become a staple in Wichita’s arts community during the past 20 years, engaging
audiences with world-class programming in a celebration of cinematic arts. The festival
is known for connecting film-savvy audiences with cutting-edge filmmakers from all
over the world, providing a unique experience throughout the four-day festival. This
year, Wichita State student Corri Newman will be added to the list of distinguished
filmmakers who have contributed to the festival’s legacy.
Corri’s short documentary, “Kansas Honor Flight,” was selected to be screened at the
2022 festival, and the news came as a pleasant surprise to Corri.
