I am an intern for the Media Resources Center. I am currently helping with the information board for Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall (Wichita State’s new home for the W. Frank Barton School of Business). I also help with events. Most recently, I helped with the WSU Tech Nursing pinning ceremony.
I started my internship in the spring of 2022 and will continue through the summer.
I am an athlete on the WSU track and field team. Coach John Wise, is good friends with Curt Rierson (video project manager at the MRC), so he recommended me for the job.
I have expanded my resume by learning a new programming language, as well as getting hands-on experience with quite a few Adobe applications.
My classes have provided me a learning base structure of certain features that I am using in the internship, such as the coding language C++ which helped allowed me to learn Python.
My advice would be to make connections and network.
