On-campus events welcoming students to Wichita State will be in full swing the next
couple weeks as the university kicks off the fall semester — with more students expected
to participate than since pre-COVID.
Members of the media are invited to attend the following events:
Back to School Bash — 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, in the Rhatigan Student Center east courtyard.
First Day of School - Aug. 22. First day of classes for students. Media welcome any time.
Beach Party — 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, on the Heskett Center west lawn.
Clash of the Colleges — 4-6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Cessna Stadium. This annual student event is a fierce
team competition among eight WSU colleges that includes relay races and team sports
to determine who rules the school.
