Wichita State University is in the midst of a historic period of rapid growth. Given
the often complex changes and fast pace of development, WSU has launched a website
that allows for greater transparency and easier access to information open to the
public.
A log of open records requests with status and links to documents
A page of commonly requested records
A Trending Topics feature that provides details fully explaining issues of interest
to the WSU community and beyond
Links to live and recorded videos of WSU's weekly media / community briefings
“Wichita State has always addressed issues of this type through traditional news and
media channels,” says Tim Hart, director of web and new media for WSU's Office of
Strategic Communications. “But given the pace of change on campus, we've seen a need
to gather all the information about these vital topics in a single location, separate
from the traditional news stream. This site will provide easier access for anyone
interested in knowing more about WSU and the issues involving the Shocker community.”
The mission of Wichita State University is to be an essential educational, cultural and economic driver for Kansas and the
greater public good. Wichita State is a doctoral research university enrolling nearly
15,000 students and offering 59 undergraduate degree programs in more than 150 areas
of study in seven undergraduate colleges. The Graduate School offers 45 master's and
12 doctoral degrees that offer study in more than 100 areas. Wichita State's Innovation Campus is an interconnected community of partnership buildings, laboratories and mixed-use
areas where students, faculty, staff, entrepreneurs and businesses have access to
the university's vast resources and technology. For more information, follow us on
